its actually dependent on the files you copy into the font directory, in the download you have multiple folders, each has a varying size font inside, just copy the one you want.

mplayer fonts

Not sure what you mean by 'divx' subtitles. If the subtitle is encoded in the video then it's always going to be proportional to the video size as it's now just part of the video.

If what you're talking about is displaying a subtitle file then it should depend on what size of font you've put in your home/.mplayer directory. The larger the number of the font, the larger the font.

Unless the subtitle display has nothing to do with the font in which case I haven't the foggiest.
