Mplayer problems...

I have some problems with MPlayer. Below is the output when running "mplayer -v robbie~1.mp3" (an .mp3 file). The error messages are the same when running a .avi file.

I'm especially interested in the line
Loading config 'robbie~1.mp3.conf'

Why do I get all these errors? What can I do to fix them? (In the GUI, GMPlayer crashes with and "Too many errors" message).

I've asked a lot of people, and noone has seen it before.

Please, help me!!

right, personally i would not be using mplayer to play mp3's, use xmms (http://xmms.org) for audio and mplayer for videos.
also, it looks like mplayer has not been installed properly, you need to read the mplayer readme for instructions on how to create and edit your config file.

Looks like mplayer has not been installed with libmp3lame support. At least that is what I think. Go ahead and compile it with mp support. Should solve your problem.
