mplayer problem
 

hi
when i start my mplayer ( on RH 9) it plays the video but gives no audio saying
"SDL:unable to open audio: no available audio device".
it does so many times but sometimes it does play the same video with audio.
any idea where the origin of this problem lies.

try to locate any other programs that might use your sound device and shut it down.

i still could not find the cause. But re installing the rpm solved the problem.
