MPlayer / Mplayer Plugin no Sound
Hi,
I have absolutely no sound on Mplayer / Mplayer Plugin when viewing apple trailers via Firefox 0.9
No probs with video
Using Mandrake 10.00 PWP
Mesh Athlon 64 2200
Creative Audigy ZS soundcard
Sound works perfectly on other apps.
Have installed mplayer via mandrake RPMs
Anyone any ideas ?

Yup, you are missing the codecs. I've never done a rpm install of mplayer (once with apt-get, but that's another story).
I'd recommend you download the package "all":
http://www1.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/rel...040706.tar.bz2
and reinstall mplayer. If it was installed from source, you'd need to install the codecs, then recompile mplayer, not sure if only placing the codecs in the right place should work with mplayer though...
Good luck!

no problems, you are most welcome .
Please, lemme me know if it does not work. If it did not, I'd suggest you compiling mplayer from source. It's quite easy and I can write a quick step-by-step here . Just let me know if you need!
Good luck!
