mplayer-mozilla plugin

Hello,

I installed mplayer & mplayer plugin for firefox via automatix, but there seems to be a problem with the mplayer plugin for firefox. When I attempt to watch a clip on firefox, the sound comes out perfectly, but the pictures doesn't show up.

I am using Ubuntu 6.06.

Anybody dealt with this problem before?

Any suggestions whatsoever?

Does this happen for every clip?

Try removing the mplayer plugin and then installing the mplayer plug through synaptic or apt-get. I am also using Ubuntu. I installed the plugin through apt-get. I used `apt-cache search mplayer plugin` to find it and then installed with `sudo apt-get install mozilla-mplayer`, and I have no problems using the plugin in Firefox. If the plugin is a flash plugin, then do `apt-cache search flash plugin`. That will find a package and you can install it by doing this `sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree`

Neither of those things are in my repository.

That's because you have not enabled universe and multiverse repositories. Start reading here.
