MPlayer MoviePlayer Xine Colors Calibration
 

If I play a mpeg video file under MPlayer or MoviePlayer, the colors come out super saturated and blownout - mostly red. The same file under Xine looks normal. The preview icon photos look normal. If I try the same experiment with wmv files, it's about 50/50 with Xine (normal), but always blown-out with MPlayer and MoviePlayer. What gives?

I am not able to improve the look by playing with brightness, color and saturation - I just create new color problems. Hue has no effect at all.
