runnig gmplayer from a console gives me such result:
Code:
MPlayer 1.0pre7try2-3.4.5 (C) 2000-2005 MPlayer Team
CPU: Advanced Micro Devices Athlon Thunderbird (Family: 6, Stepping: 4)
Detected cache-line size is 64 bytes
CPUflags: MMX: 1 MMX2: 1 3DNow: 1 3DNow2: 1 SSE: 0 SSE2: 0
Compiled for x86 CPU with extensions: MMX MMX2 3DNow 3DNowEx
vo: X11 running at 1280x1024 with depth 24 and 32 bpp (":0.0" => local display)
...so it seems to be running, but gui is invisble,
pressing ctrl^c results in 'fatal error' message:
Mplayer interrupted by signal 2 in module: unknown
i have the same problem. have you found any solution tadziu? acctualy i have the same problem when i use slackware packages, and when i try to compile from source, there is allways a bunch of errors.
nope,
i'm using mplayer from a shell right now, but i'm still looking for a solution
i've posted this thread on polish formus also, so if any one there knows the
answer i'll post it here.
regards
t.
You all with the invisible GUI ... did you install a skin? This is required if you compile from source. It may or may not be a seperate step if you're installing from a package for your distro.
For a complete MPlayer installation you will need sources, a set of codecs, a set of fonts for the onscreen display (OSD) and a skin if you want a graphical user interface.
the problem is, that everything including skin was installed properly...
and still i cant get any soultion, but at least i've learned how to
use mplayer from a consloe
regards
