mplayer for fedora core-4

i have installed fedora core 4 but dont have any sodftware to play the media files. can anyone tell me a suitable media player like mplayer or xine that works with my linux version.(pls provide link for the rpm)

Follow the directions and install the rpmforge-release rpm package and GPG key when done as root or equivalent do..

Install the downloaded rpmforge-release rpm package from where the file resides type something like;

rpm -Uvh rpmforge*.rpm

Now you can install either or both by typing something like;

yum install mplayer xine

mplayer has no problem in FC4. just look in documentation how to install that and where to copy codecs
