Hi. I have just installed mplayer and I just can't seem to be able to change the font it uses by default. I need romanian characters and using subcp=cp1250 in the configuration file doesn't work, it still doesn't show all the romanian characters so I need to change the font.

I'm using gentoo linux 2007.0.

Here is how I emerged mplayer:

emerge -pv mplayer

I've solved my problem!!!! All I had to do was to remove the truetype and srt use flags and then recompile and now I can use the good old bitmap fonts which contain the characters I need.
