Unhappy MPlayer Fails to start (http://209.242.151.4/ASF2/merlin/LoveTeacher/clips/as/as1.as)

I am running FC5 on Toshiba A60 Laptop
I have installed Mplayer using yum and after a successful install I run
[me@home ~]$ mplayer
I get the following error

mplayer: error while loading shared libraries:

/usr/lib/libavformat.so.50: cannot restore segment prot after reloc: Permission denied

Does anyone know why I get this permission denial error? I have searched all over the net for this but could not find any helpful thread.
Help

where did you download mplayer? do you have the essential codecs from the mplayer site installed?
I installed mplayer from freshrpms. Also installed the essential codecs in /usr/lib/win32.

Yes I have the essential codecs in /usr/lib/win32. Xine works fine and I am able to view dvds

I got my mplayer build from Livna I removed mplayer and installed it from freshrpms but got the same error
