Mplayer failes to play DVDs... but it used to.
 
Ok... it used to play them just fine, but I havent watched a DVD on it in awhile... now I get this error:

What do I do? I have already tried reemergeing MPlayer... and the libdvdread... im totally lost. Can someone please help me?

how about resyncing your portage tree...? that is three versions old, rc4 is the currently unmasked version in the portage tree. Doesn't really look like an application problem, but a duff disc.... if you don't think so though that's fair enough.
