mplayer does not play Sony DVD
 

ENV:MPlayer-1.0rc1 (win32codecs installed)
Xine (xine-ui-0.99.2-1mdk,libxine1-1-0.rc5.8mdk)
up yo now i can play dvd's with mplayer without problems,but last day i rent
a movie on sony dvd media ,the title of the movie is "Closer"
i run gmplayer form the command line,and it read dvd keys ,then it fill the buffer,at this point mplayer stops working with the buffer filled at the 19,5% and the dvd light continuosly blinking.....
I can play the dvd without problems with xine.
i performed a search and i found some wiki info about a list of movie on a sony dvd encripted with the ARccOS DRM encoding...and in the list there is also "Closer" the movie i'm traying to play wiht mplayer...
to further diagnose i uninstall the mplayer compiled form source,and i installed the version arrived with mandriva2006 ,but the results are the same....
is there someone that in the past had the same problem with sony dvd and mplayer ?

So play the DVD with xine, Sony has already admitted the problem with some players and has offered to replace the 'bad' DVD's. The simple fact that your DVD store has not requested the replacement media is not your fault or mplayer's or Sony's.
