Mplayer crashing

MPlayer interrupted by signal 11 in module: open_stream

I get this error when I try to play a DVD with:

mplayer dvd://1

I am running ver 0.92 of mplayer on fresh fedora core install. I've checked the mplayer documentation over and over, and checked that each component is in it's proper place. I have complied from source with no errors. I can play all other types of files with no issues, this only happens when I try to play a DVD.

I've seen this variations of this error that others have had, but not the open_stream error.

Anyone have any ideas?

Here is the error I recieve after mplayer loads it's .conf files.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Playing DVD title 1
Reading disc structure, please wait...

MPlayer interrupted by signal 11 in module: open_stream
- MPlayer crashed by bad usage of CPU/FPU/RAM.
Recompile MPlayer with --enable-debug and make a 'gdb' backtrace and
disassembly. For details, see DOCS/bugreports.html#crash.b.
- MPlayer crashed. This shouldn't happen.
It can be a bug in the MPlayer code _or_ in your drivers _or_ in your gcc
version. If you think it's MPlayer's fault, please read DOCS/bugreports.html
and follow the instructions there. We can't and won't help unless you provide
this information when reporting a possible bug.
