Mplayer compilation problem

I've compliled from source the pre7 release of Mplayer.
Strange thing happened: the xv driver was not compiled and now i don't have full screen among others features.
I've browsed in the documentation of their website but thereś no answer.
I'm kind of lost.
Can you help please.

By the way i'm using Ubuntu 5.04.

it's normally down to a lack of X headers on your system. before you run the make on mplayer you get a very clear list of what will and won't be included, you need to pay attention to that!
