MPlayer & wmv, ProcessInputError

Hi,

today I've downloaded the latest version of mplayer (MPlayer-1.0pre7try2), but the same happens with the previous version (0.9x) I've used so far. MPlayer can't play WMV files. When I start mplayer in a shell I get these errors and the video output is garbage:

[...]
ProcessInputError r:0x80004005=-2147467259 (keyframe: 1) 6.9% 0 0
ProcessInputError r:0x80004005=-2147467259 (keyframe: 1) 6.6% 0 0
ProcessInputError r:0x80004005=-2147467259 (keyframe: 1) 6.5% 0 0
[...]

The codecs (win32) are already installed before compiling/installing mplayer. These codecs are in /usr/local/lib/codecs and the symlinc /usr/lib/win32 points to /usr/local/lib/codecs. I can play every other files i've already tested, but not WMV. Whats wrong?

To tell you the truth, I don't know what to tell you. It should play wmv files. But it's kind of the same for me where xine will play everything but mplayer won't play mov files correctly. You can give xine a try, but also hang around and see if any mplayer gurus respond.
