Mplayer and png madness!

Hey all,
I've finished installing mplayer(after a few extrra headaches! but i got it done!), but whenever i run it, a whole bunch of png files(00000001.png, 00000002.png, etc, etc) are created in my home dir. Is there any way to stop this.. cos it's gonna get more and more annoying if i have to delete these after every run!

Cheers
Miche

well what are you doing to make this happen? that would be when you're using "-vo png" as a parameter to mplayer.... try forcing it to a visual output... "-vo xv"
