Unhappy mpeg4ip and video streaming problem

Hi,

I have a Pinnacle TV tuner card, and I wish to broadcast the stream so that multiple clients in a lan network can view it. I started off with trying out ffserver with no luck.

Then, I came to know about VLC's streaming capabilities, but that too failed.

Finally I stumbled on to Darwin Streaming Server and Mpeg4ip. I was able to successfully record an mp4 video file using mp4live. But, I seriously have no idea about what are multicast addresses and ports, maybe my lan network doesn't support it (IPV4).

Can anyone help me out in configuring a SDP file which I can share over HTTP or via DSS?

DSS also failed to play any recorded mp4 files, giving some error in broadcast.

Regards,
unpredictable
