Question Mpeg4 encoder

Hello people,
I am facin some problem..in my prj. work..which is not commercial or sth . just for study purpose..i am lookin for mpeg4 encoder which will take input as YUV files(in 4:2:2 as well as 4:2:0 format) (i would prefer if it works on command line and in executable format)...is it available online for free or sth?..let me know..i found a package but somehow its not working up to my expectations..the package name is mpeg4IP..it takes YUV12 file (i think it's concerned with AVI file)..so,folks if you are familiar with MPEG standards you might want to help.
Thank You ,
Yours Sincerely.
Nanu.

It's a mighty fine encoder as well. Record and playback via commandline (no GUI required).

Tastes great - less filling.

You may also want to have a look at ffmpeg and the berkeley encoder.
