mpeg2encode vbv_underflow errors

I am using mpeg2encode from http://www.mpeg.org/MPEG/MSSG/ to create MPEG2 videos from jpeg images. I am able to create the video, but during the encoding run I get a zillion vbv_overflow/underflow errors. The resulting video is many times larger than it should be, and it appears that the first few seconds contain my video properly encoded, followed by several minutes of garbage.

I have searched everywhere, and while I have found posts from other people with the same issue, nobody appears to have found a solution. I know it's a long shot, but if anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Thanks!

Mark

not a solution, but i'd suggest using a different applciation. MPlayer have recently added beta code to thier MEncoder program to encode to mpeg as well as avi. i'd say have a go at that.
