mpeg sound extraction
 

I have some picture/sound clips from a digital camera and I would like to extract the sound portion of the mpeg. Is there a tool for this? Any help is greatly appreciated.

what file format are they in at the moment? if it's a standard format, i get to once again recommend my lovely MPlayer

mplayer file.avi -dumpaudio

will create a stream.dump file containing the audio in whatever format that audio was creaed in in the first place. alternatively you can use MPlayer to encode it to MP3 easily enough
