mpc to mp3 conversion

I've just discovered there's yet another audio file format: mpc

So far I've been able to listen to a file I got in this format by instlling xmms-musepack.

However I'd like to be able to burn the file to a music CD (K3B doesn't support it) and listen to it in any other music program. How can I convert it to mp3?

Looks fine. I'm not sure I have everyting I need (Perl, MPlayer, LameEncoder) but I was about to post I'd found the decoder library at Musepack's home page. So now I know what to do with it... or do I. My German is fine, but I've never done anything with scripts before, so just in case...

I understand I should save the script as somename.pl and then save it inside the directory the mpc files are in. Then I suppose I should do "$ somename.pl" and that's it?

Thanks in advance
