mp4 is mpeg4 (Divx). You just burn it as a data file and play it back using mplayer.

How about burning m4a as an audio file?

Maybe you can use mplayer to convert it to a standard audio format. Try:
Code:
mplayer myfile.mp4 -ao pcm -aofile myfile.wav
You should then have a wav file to work with.

I guess that could be one short term solution. But when you have over 50 files that are in .m4a that does not seem pratical.

Over 50 files??? no problem. That's what scripts are for.
