Mp3s plus more problems

How do i get mp3s to play on RH9 and why is it that when i go to download a .rpm mozilla won't download it? I am quite confused.

mp3 on rh requires the mp3-plugin. u should get that rpm for it.
as for downloading, try "right-click -> save link target as".

I didn't know it was that easy, I just downloaded an entire new copy of XMMS from their site...

I try right clicking but it doesn't do anything. I am not that new to surfing the net........ what is going on?

does your right mouse button do anything anywhere?

I've had a lot of problems with xmms in fedora core. Even after installing the mp3 stuff I couldn't get it to work. Perhaps it's the same problem you have? xmms just drools through a 3 minute mp3 in ten seconds without making a single noise?
I took the crude workaround of using another MP3 player. Mpg321 works great for me. It's a command line program, but it should be trivial to write a front-end really...
As I recall mpg321 can be downloaded from freshrpms.

my mouse is running fine... i click on save target as... and nothing happens. Could it be mozilla or is it some other configuration?

if you're using mozilla 1.6 try using mozilla firebird. it rox.

Make sure you have write permissions to the folder it is trying to save it to.
