MP3 Support in Red Hat 9.1.............?


Are there any programs out there that I can use to play MP3"s in Red Hat 9.1? Thanks...............ALAN

Use theplugin for xmms,just google for it..I'll see if I can give you the link later on, I'm in school right now.

mp3 support in RH9

the links for downloading plugins for Mp3 support in RH9 is www.xmms.org and www.gurulabs.com/downloads.html
hope you can hear mp3s now

There is a Java based MP3 which should work on Linux as well.
http://www.javazoom.net/javalayer/javalayer.html

I also know a lot of 3rd parties app using this playing engine.

Thanks everyone for the reply's !!!! I downloaded the latest rpm from http://www.xmms.org as instructed by "car313" and now.......... all is well !!!!!! Thanks everyone !!!!!!!!
