mp3 player for redhat


hi guys

i download newset version of xmms for redhat but it didnt work when i fed it mp3s, are there any other mp3 players whic could run on redhat ?

and, maybe silly question, could we enjoy mp3s when working under console not X ?

mpg123 will play mp3's in console. Redhat stopped putting MP3 support in XMMS due to legal issues. I'll post up later if nobody else does on how to do it. Or you can search google and find it yourself...then you can post it :-)

get the xmms-mpg123 rpm package and you can listen to them with xmms.

thanx your guys' suggestion~

i made a search for xmms-mpg123 just found all of them are for redhat 8 or 9. unlucky mine is 7.2, could that pack suits my OS as well ?
