mp3 folderizing fails with yamt, looking for alternative

I have been trying for a few days now to combine two folders full of mp3's folderized by Artist>Album>File into one folder.

there are some songs that appear in both folders, so I would like to correct the filenames from freedb before I move them, so I don't end up with two copies of the same file in an album, or two copies of the same album within an artist.

yamt (yet another mp3 tool) seemed like a perfect solution, and on several trial folders (I didn't want to start right off with the important stuff in case it blew up... which it did) it worked fine, but now it segfaults.

I have removed and reinstalled several versions from .4 to .6dev, with no luck. all segfault now.

when run from a terminal the output complains of files not existing at the time of the fault... files that I can subsequently open.

in order for the nomenclature of this piece of software to be justified (yet another mp3 tool) there must be something else that will do the same job.

does anyone have anything that would do the trick? I know of lots of software that will change ID3 tags, so I'm not worried about that, but the re-folderizing seems to be a huge challenge.

I'm running FC3 on this machine.
