mozplugger plugin & firefox - removing the initial white flash?

Hi all,
This has been a problem that I have researched in the past but I figure something may have changed.

I am using mozplugger to call mplayer from within firefox. This works except there is a solid white flash while mplayer is loading it seems that can be very quick or up to 2 seconds in some instances. I have looked through the mozplugger source code and cannot find anything obvious, also in the past I have come to the conclusion that both mozplugger and firefox people blame eachother for the cause of it.

Is there any way at all to change this white to black, and where can I do it? Thanks for any help in advance.

The only thing I can suggest is that you try mplayerplug-in.

firefox, plugin, white
