Unhappy Mozilla v/s Netscape fonts

This is a puzzle to me....
While Netscape 7 lists all the X fonts in the "Fonts" preferences, Mozilla 1.2.1 only lists a handful !!
See snaps here

I'm a Solaris user who recently switched to RH9 (never used Mozilla before). Netscape 7 hangs often and even crashes, so I am forced to use Mozilla. Though i'm a (E)links fan, I do need a full-fledged browser sometimes.....

Glad if anyone can help me out...
