Mozilla: unable to edit preferences

RE: Mozilla 1.7.11

After getting all my extensions working and everything the way I like it I find I can no lnger access the "edit preferences" menu. Selecting "EDIT" "Preferences" gives no results.

extensions currently listed are: Adblock : bugmenot 0.6.1 : enigmail 0.92 : entension uninstaller 0.21 : extension API : mozex 1.07 : Nuke anything enhanced 0.5 : themer : user agent switcher 0.6.6

If I use a basic profile that doesn't have all the extensions I like, it works fine. My guess is some time during the process of installing the extensions I screwed up one of the files.

I can start over, but would prefer to replace just the file that is giving me the problem. Which files are needed to have the "edit preferences " menu in Mozilla? I didn't check all the various menus to see if they work, but the ones I did try work ok, just "Edit preferences" does nothing.

thanks in advance

joe

A quick test to determine if it's a missing or replaced binary file, or an extension: start mozilla in safe mode and see if you can get into preferences there.

You could also launch under a different user profile and see if it occurs.
