Mozilla Textboxes?

Has anyone else had this trouble?

I'm using Mozilla 1.3 (stable) on Mandrake 9.1. Every so often, while I'm using Mozilla, all text-input boxes in the program cease to respond. No text can be typed into them, no text can be selected, no text can be deleted, and it requires a restart of Mozilla (or opening a new window) to fix it.

This includes all form field text-boxes, the address bar, etc.

When it happens, all other functions of Mozilla work (to my knowledge), meaning mouse use is unaffected and I can browse using that just like I normally do.

Anyone encounter this before, and have you found a fix for it?

I occasionally encounter similar
behaviour. It seems to happen
when I use X's copy & paste
with the mouse feature between
tabs. Usually going back to the
Mozilla tab that was the source
of my copy (marking with the mouse)
and just left single-clicking anywhere
in the document seems to fix it.

same here. I noticed it happens with pop-up error boxes (like you forgot a field in a form, etc) - then go back to the form and text input is disabled.... I'll try the changing workspace thing next time.

I think I may have found a fix to this problem...

Go to Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Keyboard Navigation

Uncheck "Find automatically when typing within a web page"

So far, I haven't encountered the problem since, but I'll keep you posted...
