Mozilla start up

I recently had to reboot my system, Fedora Core 3, and since then I cannot start the mozilla web browser. I get a window to choose user, and once I click on it and start, the following message appears:
"mozilla can not use the profile "___" because is in use..."

how do I go about this problem?

Also if anyone could help me set up a Lexmark z700 printer and a HP Scanjet 4070...

Many thanks!

Try to rm ~/.mozilla/*.slt/lock

See if that works for you.

Thank you for the hint, but it did not seem to work.
I got a "no such file or directory" error.

i'll keep trying!
