mozilla question
hey all.
i have a question regarding fonts rendered by the mozilla browser.
when i installed my system, it installed Mozilla 1.2.1.
when i goto the mozilla site, and get the latest stable version, i see a marked difference in the fonts between the two.
while the older one renders beautifully, the new one does not. the fonts are just messed up (in size, mostly).
because of this , im using the old one, which looks really good, but doesnt have some features which the new one does.
any ideas bout why this is happenin?
thanks!

Hm...personally, I've not noticed any difference between fonts as rendered by 1.3 and 1.4 and 1.5b - they all looked not that great to me. Maybe I need glasses

neither did i.
only this Mozilla 1.2.1 which was installed from the installation cd looks great - n believe me, great (better than IE for me)! but the later versions arent the same.
if u get the version in the apt repository (which is Mozilla 1.2.1), u will be able to see what im talkin bout.

I just noticed the same thing. I just installed the Mandrake version of 1.3.1, and I have 1.5a installed as well. The fonts look great in the Mandrake 1.3.1, but they look like ass in 1.5a which I downloaded from mozilla.org.
I'm still looking into the situation.
