mozilla problem and kde question
two things:
first of all, i run kde on my desktop, but i haven't been able to figure out how to get the output of shell scripts that i execute by clicking go to the konsole. I just click them, they run, and thats it. No feedback. I even tried setting the file associations so those files would be opened by konsole, but that clearly didn't work, since they're executable. Any ideas? Second, i'm having a problem with mozilla. Whenever i click on the icon (or open any file that opens itself with mozilla) and i have another mozilla window open, it will prompt me to chose a different profile, since the default one is in use. How do i set mozilla so it will interpret a new execution as a prompt to make a new window (like it does in xp) rather than an entirely new instance? thanks, -fibbi |
I'm not sure about konsole but I think you can do with with xterm and "-e"
For mozilla try this script: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...181#post803181 |
I don't know if there is an easy solution if you want to keep Mozilla. One solution to your problem would be to use mozilla-firefox 0.8 instead. You'll have the advantage of a slightly better response time as well.
