Mozilla not finding swfdec plugin

Ive managed to build swfdec and the swf mozilla plugin and they've installed fine.
Now the difficult part, i can't get mozilla to detect the plugin at all, i think its sitting in two different directories /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins and /usr/local/lib/mozilla-firefox/plugins, the later being where it was installed into and i copied it into the other plugins directory. In this directory are other plugins such as svg viewer and gxine.
That all seems to be fine and ive restarted mozilla many time, but i just cant get it to come up on the aboutlugins page

Thanks for any help in advance,

i found that mozilla doesn't seem to actually search for plugins ,but instead there is a file inside your .mozilla directory that contains everything you see with the aboutlugins, i'll have another look once i rebuild it,( nuked my laptop this morning by accident)

thanks for the reply

Hya,

I somewhat think that files under ~/.mozzila is user specific ones. (not global)

cheers

Happy Penguins!
