mozilla mail - overriding inbox

I have a mail account on a system that I also have shell access to. I've reconfigured things so that mail is delivered to ~/Mail/mbox, and mozilla sees all of the folders in ~/Mail (e.g. Sent and Drafts). The only problem is that mozilla seems to be insisting on using ~/mbox as the inbox (although I can subscribe to ~/Mail/mbox as a separate folder).

Any thoughts on how to get mozilla to recognize a different file as the inbox? Thanks in advance for any help,
K

Try changing the local store directory under Mail and newsgroup accounts settings -> server settings.

are you refering to the "local directory" setting? it looks like a local indexing of the file on the server (I guess I didn't mention that its an IMAP system).

If you're refering to the "IMAP server directory," its set to Mail (versus the default empty)
