Mozilla Font Antialiasing?

Is there a way to smooth out the fonts in Mozilla? This is one of the only things still bugging me since I made the switch from Win2K to Linux. Text and fonts in all other programs (that I've noticed anyway) appear with anti-aliasing, and look very nice. Mozilla, however, looks awful. Any ideas?

You should start by making sure you have X setup to use nicer fonts. There's a great HowTo on font "de-uglification" at this site. The link is from the Documentation section over at xfree86.org.

If you're running Gnome 2 it might be worthwhile getting the Mozilla source code and compiling it yourself with GTK2 support.
