mozilla firefox with JRE 1.5 hlp pls!!!!

i'm using mozilla firefox comming in fedora core 3. i downloaded latest JRE from sun (ver 1.5)
i tried to integrate JRE with firefox but it never worked. so i upgraded my firefox from fedora core 3 updates, now the current version is firefox-1.0-2.fc3, then i tried no luck so far!!! any body with a thought????

i used this to integrate ln -s /usr/java/jre1.5.0/plugin/i386/ns7/ according to firefox FAQs

How did you create the symlink? mine was created as follows

ln -s /usr/java/jdk1.5.0/jre/plugin/i386/ns7/ /usr/lib/firefox-1.0/plugins/.

It works absolutely fine.
