Mozilla firebird- only one instance, permissible

Hi all,

I have a strange problem, which I guess is a feature of mozilla. The problem is i can only open one mozilla window at a time. If i click on the icon again a dirty mozilla firebird prifile manager will shoot up, disallowing me to open one more mozilla, unless i create a new profile. I use Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 Firebird/0.7.

I heard that this is a feature incorproated in mozilla's latest version and can get tailored to my taste (i.e should fire each instance of mozilla on each clicks on the icon in my gnome desktop). Do anyone have some pointer in this regard, or a small script which could do this ?

If you will use Ctrl + T you can open another tab, rather than a new browser window.

Or Ctrl+N for another window
