mozilla firebird
i have installed mozilla firebird.the exe file is located in root directory..so..everytime i have to go to the root directory and open it.but is there any way to get the icon on the desktop or just upgrade the present mozilla on my taskbar to firebird?

why did you put in into root directory?!? should be in /usr/local/firebird directory or similar...then you can create a new 'link to application' ion desktop and make it execute that file (e.g. /usr/local/MozillaFirebird/MozillaFirebird)

thanx for that info..i will try that out....its a bit hazy on that creating link part..but..i will try that..

@ core: he probably meant executable (e.g. file named MozillaFirebird)...
@ksd: right click on desktop, then select create new (or similar) -> link to application (or similar); then a window should appear where you can change a name, icon AND path of the file (where and which file you want to be run) there you choose /usr/local/MozillaFirebird/MozillaFirebird (depends on in which directory you put it - this is the best solution) |
hey thanx buddies..it was so ..easy..its cool..i also changed the icon that comes with firebird..this stuff
is cool.. |
