Mozilla Browser 1.2.1 and Acrobat Reader

I am running rh9 and Mozilla 1.2.1. I installed Acrobat Reader 5.05 for linux and the program itself works great. Unfortunately the plugin doesn't work. I followed the instructions on the mozilla plugin website: Mozilla Plugins
The first plugin entry is for acrobat. I don't understand the last part: "3. Ensure a copy of acroread is in your PATH." What do they mean by that? Well when I try to view a PDF file in my webbrowser another browser window opens with a blank page and I can see the file name in the address bar. Has anyone got this plugin to work correctly? If so enlighten me.

setting something in your PATH means that it is in your "run" directory for a lack of a better way of saying it, that is you can just issue the command and it knows what to do.

have you considered using kickstart for rh9? It has a plugin called mozilla-acroread that can be installed extremely easily and should work very well.

Look at the link below and see the atrpms-kickstart page if interested. It makes things sooo much easier!

I got it working with mozplugger. I'll check out kickstart though, the more plugins the merrier. Any suggestions on getting wav and .xls (spread sheet) files to come up in my browser? I'm using mozplugger and plugger. Both say to install xanim or alsaplayer for wav files and gnumeric for xls files. Not working for me.
