Mozilla & Konqueror Freezing
Im having problems with web browsing on my Debian
woody IBM thinkpad 600 laptop Both Mozillia (1.2.1-9) or konqueror (part of KDE 3.0) will freeze up the entire computer after a few minutes of surfing. Searching different threads in the forums, they said that the problem was the aRts sound server conflicting with the flash plugin. So I shut off the aRts and set it to not start up and restarted the computer. Mozilla still froze the computer. No keyboard commands except for Left ALT + SysRq + b to reboot. I even tried mozilla in gnome and am having problem. does anyone know of any solutions to fix this? Thanks in advance for any help you can give. Luis |
I've never had this problem, but I've heard it happening with the flash plugin. Try updating it. Another person had the problem and then updated to version 6 beta and it worked perfectly. Though I don't think it would effect Konqueror unless the flash plugin now works for it too.

Konqueror uses the netscape plugins but i am not sure there must be a place for it in the configuration folder
