Question movies in linux?????


Hi! Could someone please guide me which software to use to watch movies.....This has been the only thing that has prevented me in fully converting on to Linux. After all watching movies is important
dat, mpeg, and avi files are there to be sorted. Please help.

Its actually better than any movie player I've every even used in Windows. Have fun!

you can use xine also. But i use Mplayer too.

In my experience, I'd go with Xine (easier to install) though a little hassle... Requires a separate frontend (GUI)

Edit: With the latest libxine you can view Quick Times V6 & mostly V6.1

MPlayer, for sure. It plays everything... DVD, DivX, Xvid, MOV, RAM, ASF, WMZ, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH...
