Mouse will open Multiple things whenever I click once

Whenever I click once on something like mozillia It will open it 4 or so times. Once I had it open terminal over a 100 times. Do I have a virus or is it a software issue? It might just be because i have a cheap mouse. It is really annoying and I am thinking about reinstalling linux.
