Mouse Drivers?

Are there any other mouse drivers available for microsoft mice under linux? No matter how i adjust the mouse settings its either really jumpy or smooth but really slow. I just bought a new mouse (Microsoft intellieye) to try and it does the same thing.

RH9, Gnome, Opera, MS Intellimouse

thanks

imps/2 works well for me. If you're using it in X you may want to check that you're also not using gpm as it's been known to get into a tussle with the mouse under X.
