Mounting network drive using Samba

I want to connect to a Windows box and mount a shared drive as a mounted "network" drive using Samba. My Samba is working fine and I can browse the network drives on the Windows box in Konqueror but I would like to have it mounted as a drive. Some programs only allow you to browse on the local drives for files. I need to use these programs to open files on the network drive using the "Open file" dialogue.

To do it graphically, get and use Linneighborhood.

To do it from the command line, here is the syntax:

smbmount //hostcomputer/sharename /mymountpoint -o username=mywindowsusername,password=mywindowspassword

In this case, hostcomputer is the name of the Windows computer; sharename is the drive you are mounting. /mymountpoint is the full path to the directory you have defined as your mountpoint.

You don't have to provide username and password but if you don't, you will be prompted for them if they are needed.

I have Linneighborhood installed (according to Synaptic) but cannot find a way to run the application. I also cannot lauch the app by using "Run Command...". Sorry, I'm a newbie.

I don't have smb4k, but am installing it now, will give it a try. Is it a graphical or command line tool?
