mount problem...

I burned a cd earlier this day... I used this command:

cdrdao write --device 0,0,0 file.cue

And the writer started to work. When it finished, i tried to mount the cd, but it wont work. It just says "No medium found".

I've tried to run the CD on a windows machine, and it works great there. I've also tried to mount a normal cd, and that worked fine.

I've also tried to burn it with another program (simplecdrx), but i get the same message there

I'm not too sure how cd-writing from the command-line works, but did you create a filesystem on the CD first (using mkisofs)?

No i haven't done that :/ Can you describe how to do? Because I've never worked with the "mkisofs" command.

Well, the best way to burn CDs to me is using a nice GUI like xcdroast, which does all the hard stuff for you I have never burned CDs from the command line, so I'm not sure what exactly you'd have to do there. I am fairly certain you need to create a filesystem on them first, otherwise it doesn't make much sense to put files on them (unless you're making an audio CD).

Ok, I'll try that. But isn't it weird that it works on windows? :\

Edit: I burned the cd with xcdroast and it worked perfect. Thanks

I burn cd's from the cli using cdrecord, mainly iso's, using the command cdrecord -v speed=2 dev=0,0,0 path to file. Not sure if it does mkisofs, but have never made a coaster yet.
