mount error during boot
I had a very strange thing happen just now. I have a dual boot system that's running very nicely, but I was gaming in win98 for a while, and when I rebooted to login to mandrake 9.1, I got the following message after LILO:
Loading Linux................................. BIOS data check W80 Successful mount: error 6 mounting ext3 flags kernel panic: No init found. Try passing init= option to kernel. this happened three times in a row, so i booted demoLinux off CD to see if I could access my / directory and check out what might have gone wrong. The hard drive was mounted, but wouldn't open. I rebooted the computer and everything was fine. anyone ever heard of anything like that??? mcd |
