I know that a browser downloads the videos. I want to see the ads though to support the Youtube service and the content creators. I am kinda leaning torward QupZilla/Midori Although when I tried Midori it had issues with extensions and displaying pages correctly. I'm going to try QupZilla browser and i'l inform how that goes.

Palemoon nonsse2 runs on my IBM T23 laptop P3 OK. Which requires low end browser support. Np html5 or adobe flash allowed on that gear anymore. Palemoon settles down to 50% cpu usgae in conky. Ram is a 1 gig total on that laptop

My stats.

Code:
# ps_mem.py
 Private + Shared = RAM used Program
<snip>
146.7 MiB +   4.2 MiB = 150.9 MiB   palemoon
<snip>

But I have to watch you tube using youtube-dl and mpv. That still hammers my cpu.

I decided to just use the Youtube app on an Android Smartphone and connect it to a Smart tv for navigation. Now my question is what is a light weight browser that can do javascript/images but does not render any videos (exception is animated gif images). Basically a browser that can go through Youtube's javascript script site but very lightweight. Preferably the most lightweight there is or close to it and functional(doesn't crash as much.).
