monitoring RAID status

Hello,

We use an ADAPTEC RAID controller, our OS RHEL4 recognize this controller, so far no problem. But we also want to monitor the status and do a rebuild if necessary. With software raid we used the mdadm command, what kind of tools can we use for hardware raid management?

The /proc pseudo-filesystem usually contains information about the RAID from the driver. Do a Google search on the specific controller (and driver, if you know it) with the string "/proc" to see if there is a pointer to the proc entry for your card.
