Monitoring and controlling Windows services from Linux through WMI

Hello!
Does anybody know of a Linux program that makes use of the Windows WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation)? I'd like to administer and monitor services running at a Windows- ,as well as Linux/UNIX-, server from one Linux machine. Google couldn't help much. I found a program called Nino but that's rather for monitoring.

Any help is highly appreciated!

You are simply not going to find something that will run natively on Linux to do that.

You'll need to install virtual machine software and run Windows on top of Linux if you absolutely have to run it on a Linux machine. Otherwise, manage your Windows machine with a Windows machine.

Thanks for your help.

What VM are you thinking of? And do you know if it's running or is it just an assumption?
Right now I have WINE in my mind as VMware is much too costly. Further if I remember right you need to have functionality of the .NET framework. Did this ever got ported to Linux? I heard there's a program called MONO developed from Novell which has _some_ funtionality but is still far away from compatibility to .net programs.

You can use Wine and native DCOM to do that, if you can install the MMC

I tried WINE to install the WMI Tools. No chance!
